OUT Georgia Business Alliance invites its Members, Partners, and Georgia’s proud LGBTQ+ business community to the chamber’s 2021 Kickoff & Annual Meeting to be held on Friday, January 29.

The free virtual event will feature co-host Kia Barnes, also known as Kia Comedy, along with special guests Rev. Kim Jackson of the Georgia State Senate, Mary Anne Adams of ZAMI NOBLA, and Justin Cullifer of Glass House Guide!

Kia Comedy will co-host our program along with OUT Georgia’s executive director Chris Lugo beginning at 5:30pm with a special panel featuring Rev. Kim Jackson, Mary Anne Adams, and Justin Cullifer discussing 2020 lessons, 2021 outlook and inspiration, and growing connection between businesses, nonprofits, government, and our LGBTQ and BIPOC communities.

Executive director Chris Lugo and our Board of Director’s executive team, led by president Michael Daniels, will share more about OUT Georgia’s 2021 plans and how to get involved with Georgia’s only LGBTQ+ focused chamber of commerce.

At 6:30pm, Kia will help us shift into a fun and much-needed networking session, with the opportunity to get to know our leadership and each other in smaller groups.

Kia Barnes, also known as Kia Comedy, is an Atlanta based comedian, entertainer, and advocate with a reputation for bringing people together in a safe and lively environment, Kia is an influencer whose reach spans the beyond the LGBTQ+ community, to which she belongs.

Mary Anne Adams is Founder and Executive Director of ZAMI NOBLA-National Organization of Black Lesbians on Aging dedicated to building a national base of power for Black lesbians 40 + centering Service, Advocacy, and Community-Action Research. ZAMI NOBLA was named OUT Georgia’s 2020 Nonprofit of the Year.

Justin Cullifer is a serial inventor and entrepreneur, with a proven track record with digital product design and development. He is the founder of OUT Georgia’s 2020 New Business of the Year, Glass House Guide, an Alexa real estate tour platform, and founder of APG Emerging Tech, a consulting firm helping others build new, original technologies.

Rev. Kim Jackson, OUT Georgia’s 2020 Community Leader of the Year, is first black, LGBTQ+ person ordained as a priest in the Episcopal diocese of Atlanta and now the first black, LGBTQ woman elected to the Georgia State Senate, serving District 41.
