OUT Georgia Business Alliance, proudly serving as Georgia’s only LGBTQ+ and Allied Chamber of Commerce, recognizes the critical role our nonprofit organizations play in advancing communities across Georgia and beyond.

This year, Giving Tuesday and World AIDS Day align on Tuesday, December 1, and OUT Georgia is passionate about highlighting LGBTQ+ focused and friendly nonprofits that are in need of funding this holiday season and those serving individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.

Plus, Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) is helping Georgia nonprofits raise even more this Giving Tuesday and holiday season with our state’s biggest giving event. Visit GAgives.org to check out the full lineup of participating Georgia nonprofits.

On this World AIDS Day, several OUT Georgia Members are committed to or are holding events to commemorate and honor those lost to and living with HIV/AIDS, including AID Atlanta, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Counter Narrative Project, First City Pride Center, Georgia Equality, Georgia Power and GLAAD, Horizon Theatre Company, Jerusalem House, Latino LinQ, Positive Impact Health Centers, Someone Cares Atlanta, Thrive SS, and many others!

The theme for the 2020 observance is “Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Resilience and Impact.”

World AIDS Day was first observed in 1988. Each year, organizations and individuals across the world bring attention to the HIV epidemic, endeavor to increase HIV awareness and knowledge, speak out against HIV stigma, and call for an increased response to move toward Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America.
