ATLANTA, Ga., August 24, 2020 –– OUT Georgia Business Alliance, serving as Georgia’s only LGBTQ+ and Allied Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce the addition of Malik Brown to the Board of Directors.
Appointed as the City of Atlanta’s Director of LGBTQ Affairs by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Malik Brown is the latest addition to OUT Georgia’s Board of Directors and will be serving as the Special Events Chair.
“We are excited to welcome Malik to our Board of Directors,” said Petrina Bloodworth, Immediate Past President of OUT Georgia Business Alliance.
“His warm personality, background, experience, and tireless work for the LGBTQ+ community are an incredible asset to any organization, and we know he is going to help OUT Georgia better deliver on our mission to serve LGBTQ+ and allied businesses and professionals across our state.”

In addition to being recognized as OUT Georgia’s 2019 Rising Star, Brown is a member of LEAD Atlanta Class of 2022 and an alumnus of the New Leaders Council. His extensive LGBTQ+ community involvement includes serving on the Human Rights Campaign’s National Board of Governors, the Democratic National Committee’s LGBTQ Advisory Board, and Out Front Theatre Company’s Advisory Board of Directors.
