Description: TGX360 Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099); 8-10 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $25-30/hr, depending on experience
Location: Atlanta, GA or remote (GA)
Time: 3-6 month contract, with opportunity to extend


The TGX360 Coordinator will support OUT Georgia’s TGX360 Initiative and Programming to serve Georgia’s Transgender and Gender Expansive Community. 

The position involves advancing the planning and project management of key events and programming related to the organization’s TGX360 initiative throughout the year.

Under supervision of the Executive Director, the TGX360 Coordinator will perform a variety of responsibilities independently and in coordination with staff, TGX360 Advisory Committee members, resource partners, and volunteers in service of OUT Georgia’s TGX360 Initiative and associated Programming. 

The role requires a professional approach, great accuracy, tech savviness, flexibility to work in different work environments, and strong business communication and organizational skills. Experience working with Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Expansive community is preferred. 


Job Responsibilities 

OPERATIONS

  • Maintain a professional, organized digital working environment, documenting standard operating procedures and templates for improving/automating various processes.
  • Schedule meetings and follow-ups for Executive Director, Board of Directors, TGX360 Advisory Committee members, and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate and follow-up on communications in a professional, friendly, and thorough manner.
  • Ensure accuracy of TGX360 information and marketing collateral on the OGBA website, social media accounts, and printed materials.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing reports and documents for monthly meetings.
  • Assist with projects as developed by the Executive Director and TGX360 Advisory Committee, and contribute to the organization’s effort to center the Transgender and Gender Expansive Community by managing/accomplishing related tasks, as needed.

PROGRAMS & EVENTS

  • Support and execute programming, events, marketing, communications, and deliverables centering the Transgender and Gender Expansive Community.
  • Serve as project manager for TGX360’s programming and event experiences, ensuring coordination between internal and external resources and adherence to established timelines and milestones. 
  • Support the creation and execution of TGX360’s communications, including general and segmented email communications (Constant Contact), web content (WordPress), social media, etc. 
  • Attend TGX360 events to assist with set up, check-in, nametags, photography, information collections, and other tasks. Conduct post event follow-up where needed.

  • Must have knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software (Google G Suite, MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Must have knowledge of or ability and willingness to learn social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and website posting/updates (WordPress). Additional skills in Photoshop, Adobe, In Design, HTML5, and Excel formulas are welcome, as well as graphic design experience.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university is preferred, however comparable work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
