TGX360
Empowering Georgia’s Trans & Gender‑Expansive Community
Employment · Entrepreneurship · Equity
TGX360 is OUT Georgia Business Alliance’s flagship employment and entrepreneurship initiative, designed by and for Georgia’s Transgender and Gender‑Expansive (TGX) community. Launched in 2021 during Trans Awareness Week, the program is steered by a statewide advisory committee of TGX leaders and delivers wrap‑around career services, start‑up coaching, micro‑grant pathways, and employer inclusion training—all aimed at closing the economic equity gap and accelerating the growth of TGX‑owned businesses across Georgia.
Why OUT Georgia started TGX360
OUT Georgia recognized the daunting employment statistics that TGX Georgians face, as highlighted in the 2015 US Trans Survey:
%
were unemployed (more than twice the 2015 US unemployment rate of 5%)
%
of those who held or applied for a job during that year were fired, denied a promotion, or not hired because of their gender identity or expression
%
of those who had a job in the past year reported other experiences of workplace harassment related specifically to their gender identity or gender expression
%
lived in poverty (more than twice the 2015 US unemployment rate of 12%)
