Purpose
The purpose of these Event Health and Safety Guidelines and Liability Waiver is to ensure the health and safety of all attendees at OUT Georgia Business Alliance (“OUT Georgia,” “OGBA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) events, particularly in light of the ongoing pandemic.
Scope
These guidelines apply to all attendees, including members, registered guests, staff, and volunteers, participating in OGBA in-person events.
Health and Safety Measures
1. Vaccination and Testing:
We ask all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We reserve the right to ask attendees to provide proof of vaccination or show a negative COVID-19 test result from the past 72 hours upon arriving at the event. Attendees must provide physical or digital proof of vaccination or test results at registration.
2. CDC Guidelines Compliance:
All event attendees should diligently follow all CDC guidelines. If an individual is feeling sick, they must stay home to prevent the spread of illness.
3. Mask Policy:
Masks are welcome at all OGBA events and functions but are no longer required. Attendees are encouraged to make the choice that best meets their safety needs. We respect the decision of those who choose to wear a mask, and event attendees must respect others who opt to wear a mask.
Waiver of Liability and Disclaimer
4. Waiver of Liability:
By registering for any OGBA events, attendees willingly participate in an in-person event and hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless OGBA, its Board of Directors, employees, contractors, organizers, supervisors, participants, and other persons from any claim arising out of any injury or illness incurred as a result of negligence or any other cause.
5. COVID-19 Risk Acknowledgment:
By participating in a program or event during the COVID-19 pandemic, while still following the guidelines outlined by public health agencies, attendees understand there is still a risk of contracting the virus that causes COVID-19. Furthermore, attendees understand there is a chance of spreading the coronavirus while asymptomatic.
