Purpose
The purpose of this Media Consent Policy is to inform attendees of OUT Georgia Business Alliance (“OUT Georgia,” “OGBA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) meetings, programs, and events (collectively, “events”) about our practices regarding the capture and use of media, including photographs, videos, and other recordings, and to obtain consent for such uses.

This policy applies to all attendees, including members, registered guests, staff, and volunteers, participating in OGBA events.

Media Capture
1.1 Recording and Photography:
We may record, film, photograph, or otherwise capture media at our events. These media captures may include images and recordings of attendees.

The media captured may include, but is not limited to:

- Audio recordings
Use of Media
2.1 Purpose of Use:
The captured media may be used for various purposes, including but not limited to:
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Social media content
- Website content
- Newsletters and email campaigns
- Press releases
- Event recaps and highlights
- Educational materials
2.2 Consent:
By attending OGBA events, you acknowledge and agree to grant OGBA, event partner organizations, and authorized representatives the right to use your likeness in any media, now available or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without any further approval from you or any payment to you.
2.3 Rights Granted:
This grant includes, but is not limited to:
- The right to edit, alter, and distribute the media
- The right to use the media alone or together with other information
- The right to allow others to use or disseminate the media
Opt-Out and Removal Requests
3.1 Opt-Out Procedure:
If you do not wish to have your photograph or likeness used, please notify us via info@outgeorgia.org in advance or notify the onsite event staff or volunteers upon arrival at the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
3.2 Removal Requests:
Individuals may request to have photos or recordings of themselves removed from OUT Georgia’s publications and communication channels by contacting info@outgeorgia.org. However, OGBA acknowledges no obligation to comply with such requests, though we will make reasonable efforts to address them.
Rights and Ownership
4.1 Organization’s Rights:
OGBA retains all rights to the captured media, including the right to edit, alter, and distribute the content without further notification or compensation to the individuals depicted.
4.2 Attendee Rights:
Attendees have the right to request the removal of specific images or recordings that feature them. Such requests can be made by contacting us at info@outgeorgia.org with details of the media in question.
