OUT Georgia Launches Virtual Fourth Friday, Highlights Atlanta Queer Arts Alliance

by | Apr 21, 2020 | Blog, Featured

OUT Georgia Business Alliance, serving as Georgia’s only LGBTQ+ and allied chamber of commerce, is launching our Virtual Fourth Friday networking series on Friday, April 24 with a spotlight on the Atlanta Queer Arts Alliance (AQuAA).

As OUT Georgia pivots to better serve the LGBTQ+ and allied business community, the chamber’s first-ever Virtual Fourth Friday on April 24 (5:30-7:00pm) is sponsored by longtime media partner Peach ATL Magazine and the event will feature the Atlanta Queer Arts Alliance. Attendance is free for Members and guests, but registration is required.

“Thanks to the support of Brian Sawyer and Peach ATL Magazine, we’re diving into virtual networking head first on April 24,” said Chris Lugo, Executive Director of the OUT Georgia Business Alliance.

“Our Fourth Friday series is one of the most popular, recurring LGBTQ+ professional networking events in Georgia, and I’m excited we get to highlight our beloved Atlanta Queer Arts Alliance organizations and the group’s upcoming AQuAA – At Home Together event on April 26.”

OUT Georgia will be joined by special guest Paul Conroy, Founder & Producing Artistic Director of Out Front Theatre Company, and co-host Clint Clark, Realtor & Relocation Specialist with Weichert Realtors and most recently seen onstage in Out Front’s La Cage aux Folles as Albin, or as his drag-queen alter ego is known, Zaza.

“There is a critical connection between businesses and the queer arts community, especially now that COVID-19 has dramatically impacted life as we knew it,” Lugo added. “While we facilitate a new Fourth Friday networking experience, we’re honored to have the talented Clint Clark as co-host to serve up some much-needed smiles and a unique perspective as both a seasoned performer and real estate professional.”

OUT Georgia’s April Fourth Friday happens just days before the AQuAA – At Home Together event on Sunday, April 26, which will bring together an unprecedented sampling of work by the six founding members of the Alliance, including Voices of Note: The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and the Atlanta Women’s Chorus; OurSong: the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chorus; Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra; Atlanta Freedom Bands; Out Front Theatre Company, Atlanta’s LGBTQ theater company; and Out On Film, Atlanta’s LGBTQ film festival.
