EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and ten years of professional level experience in human resources. Four years of experience at the managerial level successfully managing programs in one or more areas of human resources. Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS) is desirable.
INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
Directs the design, implementation, communication and administration of the Authority’s Human Resources (HR) functions. Directs all activities and staff in the following areas: Compensation, Employee Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Occupational Medical Services and Wellness, and Retirement Benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans, develops and oversees implementation of long and short-range strategies for the Office of HR.
2. Directs the design, implementation, communication and administration of the Authority’s HR programs in the areas of compensation, talent acquisition, employee benefits, human resources information systems (HRIS), occupational medical services/ and wellness, and retirement benefits.
3. Directs the development, implementation and maintenance of the operating budget for the Office of HR.
4. Performs other related duties as required.
Primary duty is the management of an Office of the Authority. Directly and/or indirectly supervises managers, professional, and administrative employees assigned to the Office of HR. Interviews, hires and develops subordinate personnel; sets standards and evaluates performance of employees; provides feedback, coaches, disciplines and discharges as appropriate.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Human Resources certification (i.e. PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP, CEBS) desired.
